Staten Island Ferry
Take a ride on the Staten Island Ferry. This 25 minute ride will really take your mind off of the everyday stress of life. It's totally free. The ferry used to cost fifty cents per trip, but since 1997 the fee has been waived.

Statue of Liberty
You can visit the Statue of Liberty for free, but it will cost you $3 for a ticket to the crown. If you just want to go and stare at the majestic statue, then it will be a fun free trip for you. If you are looking for the insanely incredible view, pay the $3.


Take a Stroll on the Brooklyn Bridge
Sometimes fresh air is just what you need, so why not take a walk on the magnificent architecture that is the Brooklyn Bridge. You can experience history underneath your feet while enjoying one of the free things to do in NYC.

Walk The High Line Park
While you are in the mood for walking, check out the High Line park built on an elevated section of a disused New York Central Railroad spur, but the High Line has been redesigned and planted as an aerial greenway. As of now the park is only half complete, but you can walk it and check out the beautiful foliage.

Shakespeare in the Park
